Some projects are configured to use QR codes. A QR code represents data as a series of black & white tiny boxes in a unique pattern.
- Open the eco2Veritas portal on a camera-enabled phone or tablet
- Open the burger menu (three lines)
- Select ‘Operations’
- Click the ‘QR code’ icon near the top right to open the QR code screen
- Click the ‘QR code’ icon in the grey panel to open your camera (you may have to grant permission to allow the platform to access your camera. Phones with more than one camera may ask you to select the camera you want to use. Rear cameras are usually more accurate than front-facing ones)
- Scan the QR code with your phone
- An image of the QR code will be displayed alongside key data from the code
- Click ‘Confirm data’ to proceed, or click ‘Cancel’ to return to the previous screen, for example, if you scanned the wrong code
Next step: The platform will automatically take you straight to the ‘Attach evidence to an event’ screen
