Events are grouped together into batches so that we can see everything that happened to a set of material. It also enables us to perform calculations across the batch.
Batches are created automatically when you create a new instance of the first event in a process. See below for more information.
- Open the eco2Veritas portal
- Go to the Operations area
- Switch to the ‘Batches’ tab
- Each batch is shown in a row. Where the batch already includes an event, you can see the date and weight of the event as well as a green tick icon. Click a red plus icon to attach a missing event to a batch
- Select the correct event
- Click the ‘Attach’ button when you have selected an event
- The panel on the left will display the newly-attached event
- Click ‘Batches’ in the breadcrumb to return to the Batches screen
- The Batches screen will display the newly-attached event
FAQ: How do I create a new batch?
Answer: We've configured the platform to automatically create a new batch when the first event type is created. In our example for Cuautla, that means that whenever you create a new Waste Delivery event, you also create a new batch behind the scenes. We do this for two reasons:
- It means less work for our Operators
- It also helps make sure that there are no orphan batches (batches without any events) to clutter up the screens or our database
